Composite Plastics is an engineering plastic raw material supplier in South Africa. We have access to a wide range of products ranging from PTFE to Polyamide, PPA, PPS, PBT and special blends that can be tailor-made to our customers’ individual requirements.

 

The markets we serve are mining, engineering, lighting, appliance and automotive sectors. We represent international companies with world class research laboratories that are located in countries that include the USA, UK, France, Spain, Italy, and Germany. Our suppliers have stringent quality systems that conform to TUV and ISO certifications.

 

 

With access to research laboratories of world leaders in their field, we are able to keep our customers abreast of all new market developments and trends and to provide technical backup on all of the products supplied.

Virgin PTFE and PTFE Compounds

Polis has more than 20 years of experience in the field of Compounding and Post Treatment of PTFE

 

POLIS has a well-equipped lab and cooperates with customers to develop new or tailor-made PTFE grades whenever required.

 

We are presently working on innovative grades and projects involving external consultants and University institutes as well.

The production facility covers an area of 5000 mq.

 

POLIS has a large production capacity, which allows good flexibility to comply and react promptly to the new world market requirements.

Special attention is addressed to minimize the environmental impact of the production process.

BGFecomaterials is a leading producer of Engineering Plastics Resin in Korea. It has been operating in the market of techno polymer and more special in the field of Engineering Plastic Resin since 1997.

BGFecomaterials is the registered trademark for Engineering Plastic Resins such as Polyamide 6, 66, PBT, PET, PC, PP, ABS produced by BGFecomaterials. The full spectrum of BGFecomaterials resins for optimum performance in specific application areas includes grades with superior processing, grades reinforced glass fiber, grades filled minerals and grades with a special modifier for impact resistance or flame retardant

BADAMID PPA

BADAMID PPA - PREMIUM PROPERTIES FOR UNIVERSAL IMPLEMENTATION OPTIONS

The Badamid PPA product line consists of compounds based on partially aromatic polyamides. Badamid PPA compounds feature high heat distortion temperatures, good chemical resistance, as well as excellent mechanical properties, making them ideal alternatives for applications that used to be the domain of metalline materials.

Badamid PPA-HT will not melt before temperatures reach approx. 330°C; in addition, it stands out for the highest heat distortion temperatures within the Badamid PPA product line.

Badamid PPA-HP provides a brilliant surface quality and due to its easy processability, it is well suited for a broad range of applications.

Badamid PPA-GP can be processed at comparatively low mould temperatures <100°C and offers considerable economic advantages due to shortened cycle times.

BADAMID PA6 and PA6/6

PREMIUM PROPERTIES FOR UNIVERSAL IMPLEMENTATION OPTIONS

Badamid is a product group in its own right. These thermoplastic construction materials based on polyamide (PA6, PA6.6, copolyamide PA6.6/6 and partly aromatic PA6/PA6T) feature outstanding, versatile properties. Besides their exceptional mechanical strength and high thermal resistance, polyamides also demonstrate good toughness at low temperatures and favourable friction and abrasion behaviour. Badamid has proven its worth in a variety of technical sectors, e.g. for machine elements, in the electrical, electronic and automobile industry and for construction, furniture-making and leisure applications. Badamid can be further processed by all conventional moulding processes. Advanced modifications to customer specification in respect of reinforcement, toughness, ease of processing, flammability and colour can be realized with excellent results.

PTFE

The basic properties of PTFE are due to the chemical structure of the polymer, which is composed of a double carbon and fluorine bond. The size of the fluorine atoms allows the formation of a uniform and continuous sheath around the carbon-carbon bonds and protects them from external attack, thereby providing the molecule with chemical resistance and stability.
The major properties of PTFE deliver quantifiable and valued benefits, which originate from its chemical structure.

BADADUR

MAXIMUM RESILIENCE AND ENDURANCE WHATEVER THE APPLICATION!

Besides its outstanding mechanical properties, the Badadur (PBT) product group displays exceptionally reliable qualities, e.g. excellent hot forming and chemical resistance as well as proven behaviour in respect of weathering and heat ageing. The low water absorption of the compounds assures high dimensional stability and minimum influencing by humidity in the further processing of prefabricated parts. In the composition and properties of Badadur, we offer customers our customary wide-ranging spectrum of variations.

POKETONE

POKETONE is a new eco-friendly thermoplastic made of CO and olefins. 

With its unique balance of excellent properties, it will bring you various innovations for diverse applications.


High impact strength

POKETONE has high impact strength taking advantages of relatively flexible CO/Olefin polymer backbone.

Excellent chemical resistance

POKETONE is highly resistant to automotive fluids, hydrocarbon solvents, salts, and weak acids and bases.

Excellent wear resistance

POKETONE has excellent wear resistance even better than POM and reduces various noise issues.

Exceptional barrier properties

The gas and hydrocarbon barrier properties of POKETONE is exceptional as similar to EVOH that is at the highest level of all existing polymers.

Good flame retardancy

POKETONE generates a natural char layer during combustion that insulates further heat and oxygen.

Only half of flame retardant is sufficient to make POKETONE UL V-0 compared to what is needed for PA.

Poketone

Hyosung has invested 50 billion won in R&D of POKETONE from 2004 to 2013, finally developed the original commercialized technology of polymerization of POKETONE, obtained 160 cases of patent application and registration ( 133 in the domestic and 27 overseas ).

 

Because of the excellent properties of POKETONE, the global leading companies had tried to develop but failed, Hyosung has developed the commercial technology of polymerization of POKETONE based on a unique catalyst/process technology first in the world. POKETONE is the only original material developed in Korea, as the excellent properties will lead the global material market.

Hyosung's vision is that Poketone will become one of the top 3 polymers in the world.
